Heart Health Program Offered

A program developed at the Cleveland Clinic and aimed at preventing and even reversing heart disease, will be offered again in Northern Michigan later this month.

The Harbor LifeStyle Center has been working in cooperation with Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn of the Cleveland Clinic, on the diet-based program.

The center offered the first program in November.

Participants will hear about the positive and negative effects of diet on blood vessels and their overall health.

The program will begin with a five-hour presentation and lunch to get participants on the right track.

Participants will also have ongoing support from Dr. Charles Huebner and Susan Boyko, a registered nurse and health coach with the Harbor LifeStyle Center.

Those interested in the program must register at least one week in advance.

The next program will be offered on Jan. 22 in Petoskey.
