DETROIT (AP) — A poll says seven of 10 Michigan voters aren’t planning to get the swine flu vaccine or are unsure.
The poll released Monday by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA says 30 percent of respondents have gotten or plan to get the vaccine for the 2009 H1N1 flu that’s causing widespread disease in 41 states.
Those findings compare with 57 percent who have gotten or plan to get the regular seasonal flu shot. EPIC-MRA polled 600 likely voters between Oct. 11 and Thursday.
Results have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. Sixty-one percent of the 152 respondents with children say they don’t plan to have their children immunized for the swine flu or are unsure. That margin of sampling error is plus or minus 8 percentage points.
